Muay Thai Instructors at Horizon Thai Boxing Camp

All of our carefully selected Muay Thai instructors are lifelong devotees of Muay Thai boxing. Their enthusiasm for their national sport is tangible, and they are dedicated to making both your Muay Thai training effective and your time with us at Horizon Thai Boxing Camp memorable. We have three full-time instructors at Horizon. Instructors from other camps often visit and help with training too.

Horizon Camp Muay Thai instructor - Ex

Aphiwat Sriwatcharaporn

Aphiwat (known to all as Ek) is a life-long resident of Koh Phangan island. Owner and founder of Horizon Thai Boxing Camp, Ek is a life-long enthusiast and practitioner of Thailand’s most prestigious national sport. He is energetic, friendly and well known and respected in the local community. Over the years Ek has developed his teaching style to become an impressive Muay Thai instructor. His understanding of western culture enables him to motivate foreign students in ways other instructors in Thailand are sometimes unable to do confidently. Ek is a fluent English speaker. And he takes great pride in watching previous novices practice what they have been taught in the ring.

Horizon Camp Muay Thai instructor - Phu

Pee Phu

Phu's easy going nature and relaxed attitude makes him one of our most well liked Muay Thai instructors. He still competes regularly (recently beating the current Thai Champion in Koh samui) and in the ring his superb fighting skills speak for themselves. Recently married the time is coming for Phu to settle down a bit. In the coming years he plans to focus on perfecting his teaching skills.

Horizon Camp Muay Thai instructor - Phu

Noum

Newest addition to Horizon's teaching team, 30 year old Noum (63kg) speaks good English after working at Koh Tau gym for two years before joining Horixon. Noum was a competitor on the Bangkok fight circuit until seven years ago. He is proving to be a likable and versatile Muay Thai instructor.

Horizon Camp Muay Thai instructor - Reung

Pee Rueng

Originally from Roi Et in the north of Thailand Pee Reung has spent a lifetime developing his Muay skills. He has trained up an impressive number of top level fighters; in fact he was resposible for introducing one of our other instructors, Phu, to the sport very many years ago. His humble and stoic attitude make him an inspiring teacher. Pee Reung represents the backbone of our teaching staff and is a valuable stabilising force for our team at Horizon.

Here is what people who have trained at Horizon have to say about our instructors

'The trainers were fantastic. Phu and Reung (trainers)were awsome, they became like brothers! '

'My respect to Ek he does his work well.'

'The training was excellent and both phu and reung were inspirational teachers.'

'What can I say? I feel lucky to have shared a ring with you, to have been trained by you and to have had you stand in my corner. Thank you for all your help, training and advice throughout my time in Thailand and for all the fun times.'

'Please convey our utmost gratitude to Noum and Phu for three weeks of fantastic training (and being great guys in general), and to Phu and Ek for giving me the opportunity to fight in my time there.'

'They have a friendly professional approach to everyone who wishes to train with them. They have the experience to recognize strengths and weaknesses within people and work accordingly to help them grow to reach their goals. '

'Great guys and good teachers.'

'There was no inclination for the instructors to try to prove themselves. They let their skills and ability speak for them selves. I would especially like to thank Po... He is truly a remarkable person.'
