How to reach us
Horizon Muay Thai Boxing Camp is located at Haad Tien Bay on the east coast of Koh Phangan which is an island off the east coast of Thailand’s southern peninsular. Koh Phangan is just north of well known resort island, Koh Samui. If you are joining one of our all-inclusive Muay Thai tours somebody from Horizon Camp will meet you at the airport.
If you are travelling independantly, to reach us from Bangkok you have a number of options:
- Fly from Bangkok to Koh Samui. The flight takes about 50 minutes. There are many daily flights. The airport on Koh Samui is close (a short taxi ride) to Big Buddha pier, where you can find a boat to Haad Rin on Koh Phangan. The last boat leaves at around 6:30pm. You will arrive at Haad Rin pier. Book flights at www.bangkokair.com
- Board an overnight train from Bangkok to Surat Thani. Buy train tickets from a travel agency or directly at the train station in Bangkok. There are comfortable sleeper carriages. Choose air-conditioned or fan. When you get off the train in the morning you can buy a combined bus/boat ticket to Koh Phangan from one of the ticket touts waiting outside the train. You will arrive on Koh Phangan at Thongsala pier. Take a taxi to Haad Rin.
- The cheapest option is the bus. Any travel agency in Bangkok will sell you an all-inclusive bus and boat ticket all the way to Koh Phangan.Again, it is an overnight journey. Some buses are more comfortable than others, but all have air-conditioning and reclining seats. You will arrive on Koh Phangan at Thongsala pier. Take a taxi to Haad Rin.
From Haad Rin take a taxi boat (long-tail boat) to Haad Tien. Boats are available all day but not at fixed times. Ask around to find out where they are leaving from. The departure point varies according to the state of the sea. When the sea is calm boats depart from sunrise beach. If the sea is rough boats depart from Haad Rin pier on sunset side and run less frequently. Ask the boat driver for Horizon Thai Boxing Camp. You can see us up on the hill, on the left-hand side as you come into Haad Tien Bay.
See you soon! And have a safe journey.
